IS  YOUR CHILD WITH AUTISM WAITING FOR IBI?

Did You Know?

•  Without treatment, children with ASD will fall further behind.

• Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) is the only teatment generally recognized as effective for children with ASD.

• The effectiveness of IBI depends on starting early (under 4 years of age) and providing between 20 and 40 hours of treatment per week.

• In Ontario, the average wait for IBI is four years, children with ASD typically do not start IBI until at least 7 years of age and the situation is getting worse (Ontario Auditor General Report, 2013).

We Are Now BEHAVIOUR INNOVATIONS!!!!

We are pleased to announce that effective October 1, 2014, we have changed the name of our business to Behaviour Innovations.  We feel this name change is a better reflection of the tone and range of our services and in addition, promotes our positive philosophy on behavioural change.  Over the years, the services provided by Behaviour Institute have grown and expanded to a larger population with varying needs for positive behavioural interventions. We continue to provide high quality services to children with ASD and other developmental disabilities at home, and at Children’s College.  We also provide supported inclusion in schools, diagnostic assessments, as well as day programming for young adults with developmental disabilities. In addition to therapeutic services, BI also provides training and consultation to families, professionals, organizations, public/private schools, and residential care facilities.

We at Behaviour Innovations look forward to many more years of providing service to the community.
